Simply vacuuming and cleaning my home for the normal five hours of work I do on a regular basis, caused my shoulder to have a rather large swelling on the back of it, as well as aching pain. I don’t do well with abnormal body functions and became very nauseated at the thought that something dreadful was wrong with my shoulder.
When I described the swelling to a friend more senior than I, she informed me that it must be bursitis in my shoulder and that it’s caused by excessive use. When I told her I only did vacuuming and cleaning, you know, the normal duties I’ve done a “gazillion” times before… she told me that I should see my doctor but she was sure that’s all that is wrong.
So, I visited my doctor and he diagnosed me with bursitis of the shoulder and suggested pain relievers and exercise therapy.
Hmmm, therapists cost $80 for the first visit and $60 there after per visit. This is NOT covered under any medical plan I have sooooooo is definitely out of the question for me.
In searching YouTube.com in hope of finding a quality video showing me exercises I can do for myself, I came across this great video (below)… and because I learned that this type of bursitis is soooo common, I thought I’d share my findings here to share with others who may be suffering the very same bursitis as I suffered with.
And, here are 7 more, different Shoulder Bursitis Exercises to strengthen those weak shoulder muscles.
